How it works

MAXIMUM SECURITY FOR ALL SALES AND PURCHASES

Trovart is a unique online art auction house that gives anyone with something unique to sell – whether a work of art or a collector’s item – the power to create a lot for sale. The seller writes the description, uploads the images and sets the price and duration.

Offering objects for sale is free for the first 100 (hundred) lots.

Creating your first lot
First, register and enter the site as a user. Then fill out the simple form and upload your images. Once your artwork or collectible is in the system, a Trovart admin verifies that it is eligible for auction. Once that happens, the admin starts the auction. You receive a message alerting you that your auction is live.

Sellers can also activate a range of paid premium options that highlight the sale of your lot.

How it works
In the event of a winning bid, the mechanism for payment is simple; indeed, we guarantee each and every exchange.

The purchase price is paid by the buyer to Trovart.

The seller ships the object to the winning bidder (plus, if indicated in the format, shipping costs) only when Trovart confirms to the seller that the money has been received. Once payment is confirmed, the seller sends the item.

Once the buyer receives the item, they then confirm with feedback to Trovart. In the following two weeks, once confirmation that the item has arrived safely with the buyer and in good condition (ie, positive buyer feedback) Trovart credits the amount paid (minus 10% commission) to the seller.

Every seller has an account. Sellers can decide at any time to receive the total balance or to hold a portion of the balance on account and use it to buy promotional credits on any subsequent lots to be submitted.

To recap:

  • Register and enter the items you want to sell.
  • All items presented are viewed and evaluated by a Trovart expert.
  • Whoever buys pays the winning bid to Trovart.
  • Sellers only ship the item when Trovart confirms receipt of payment.
  • Whoever buys must confirm to Trovart receipt of the item in the condition described.
  • Following positive feedback from the buyer Trovart, sends the sum to the seller, deducting the commission of 12.2% (including VAT).
